Ha! Who knows where I got it from Mary...I probably can't claim ownership particularly as the Sex in The City sequel is called 'and just like that'...but I like it too :-)
The only divine I know is the Devine Miss M. The music was advertised as soothing so perhaps you were the most honest one and did not succumb to suggest and the weight of being in a “nice therapeutic group”! I applaud you! Science and personal experience are not opposite but a single experience will not be enough to understand. I love that you decided to experience something new with an open mind but your brain still ticking along.
Never had a sound bath, but love that you threw yourself in to something a little bit uncomfortable. I've been thinking about a retreat weekend and am now not sure whether your experience has encouraged me or put me off!!😂
Seriously, always think it is good to push your boundaries ona fairly regular basis to make you feel alive.
Oh Amanda, go do one! I promise you wont regret it, whatever happens :-). If you are interested the lovely Racheal is planning another for end of February 2026…I know, it seems a long time away, maybe time to prepare yourself ?LOL. Let me know if you would like me to hook you up.
I went on Saturday to a wellness concert in NY with all that is going on here right now i thought it will help get my mind out of it …. And when some people were very still and inspired .. I mind could no stand still . I love this music deeply .I listen to it almost everyday but i mostly wanted to start dancing not seating …….. my thoughts are you might have wanted to move .. you are an really active person and staying still not so much ….. nothing wrong with this ………. Good one ……
Your concert sounds good Pascale. And that’s a good observation about movement. I too love to dance …I wonder if that was what my body wanted to do?…I’ll feed back next time I do it 😃
Love this Ruth! Sounds like a wonderful retreat, though sorry the sound bath raised more pain than pleasure this time. Every time I've had one I've fallen asleep in them... your experience with it does remind me of when I did reiki though. Have you ever done it?
I had a very strange experience where I felt like the practitioner was suddenly pressing down really hard on my chest and heart until it hurt, so hard I felt I couldn't breathe. Then came this huge release and suddenly I began hysterically laughing from nowhere. When I opened my eyes her hands were about one metre above me on the bed, and she'd never once touched me at all!
It was wonderful Emma. Check Rachael out for sure.
I’ve never done reiki but I hear good things albeit your experience sounds v strange. Love the hysterical laughter mind…aren’t we creatures beautifully complex and weird? fascinating.
Ooh Ruth you’re coming over to the dark side where in fact you will find amazing things about yourself. In all of my woo wooh experiences a gong sound bath has been the most shape shifting- and I think it’s scientifically proven that sound waves impact our body’s energy field. Let me know if you do any other retreats- in fact -we could organise one😀🌟💃🏽🙏
I didn’t know you were into this Jan, or maybe I just haven’t connected the dots before. I find it fascinating. Organising a retreat? Ummm now there’s a thought to hold ☀️👏
Hey Sturks, I have experienced a few Sound baths over the past couple of years. I love them. They really do shift energy and people do react in different ways. Sometimes positive and sometimes not so good at the time, but the sounds reverberating throughout your body are moving your chi around, unblocking your chakras and getting rid of unwanted negative energy and thoughts. You may feel the impact and lighter in a few days time. There are a few held in and around Bradford-on-Avon so you will have to come with me next time.
I had never heard of the Devine Miss M before Mary, thanks for the education :-) The power of suggestions is, indeed, powerful isn't it so who knows...What with our brains and Wiki we can normally fathom new fangled experiences out can't we ...and if we can't, maybe even the better :-)
Non-esquires: I really really love that phrase of yours “and just like that”. I can’t get over how great it is
