Lovely to read your pieces. Many reflect what I thought at a not dissimilar period in my life and business story. Now I have been happily work free for over fifteen years and each day is a joy, all created with little planning. Will keep following your wise words.

Interpreting nerves as excitement and therefore opportunity is such a great way to reframe it! Thanks Ruth! X

Cyd is just a gorgeous girl. I find nerves and excitement all get thrown into the mix of the adrenaline rush and if I don't manage the feeling positively, it can go either way. We need some adrenaline to perform but if I let mine get the better of me, I dissolve but once the positive excitement switch kicks in, I can get the better of it and enjoy the whole experience. It that makes sense!

She is gorgeous isn’t she 🥰

Makes perfect sense Gill. I think It’s all in the story we tell/allow ourselves about the feelings and about who we are. Recognising the signs is sometimes the hardest part.

First of all, Cyd is a cutie. As for the coping mechanisms, well my dad always told me that if you look as though you should be there then noone will question you. So, no matter if its a new place, new people or people I have known forever, I will always endeavour to look as if I belong. Put my confident face on. I might be quaking in my boots but my face will always have a smile, and I will always look people in the eye and say hello 🤗

Merry Christmas gorgeous 🎄

Always love reading your blog Ruth. I still get nervous networking. I think it’s the familiarity of old feelings for me…and I continue to embrace and move forward.

Have a wonderful break and would love to catch up over a cuppa ☕️ soon xx
