I think it’s our friends, more than our families, who make us who we are and like you, I’m eternally grateful to mine. At the end of the day they all know too much! 🤣

I agree Jan. Friends are a real gift. As for the shared histories, I couldn’t possibly comment 😂🤣

Happy 60th...Ruth🥳🎊🎉🎂🍾🥂✨️🪄🌻💜 And...wow! Such a long friendship!! Yes!! It is a rarity. Yes! You can't put a value to those friendships! It is precious! With my few close friends, this year would be the 25th! May be time to celebrate!! And a lot more friends anywhere from 10 to 15 years. My school and college friends completely got missed out as I had a terrible accident in my late 20s and partially lost memory. I am not able to recollect any of my school friends/childhood friends 'official name' though I remember their nick names😂 I tried searching through nick names on Facebook but in vain😂 The irony of knowing those friends well yet can't trace them and celebrate...

Thanks Partha for sharing your story. 25 years of friendships, or indeed any length, is worth celebrating in my book!

Sorry to hear of the impact of your accident, how curious you recall nick names! Keep searching, I’m sure you will find each other if you’re meant too ☀️

Lovely read Ruth! Made me reflect on my own close friendships with the girls. I struggled with friendships at school and often felt sad that I never had that one best friend or a group of friends. I met my best friends a lot later - in my early 30s And it feels like I’ve known them a lifetime! So yes, these friendships are priceless and no matter how much we change and evolve. I know that they’ll be lifelong friends. X

Thanks Nila. I pondered exactly that as I wrote this blog. It isn’t always lengthy of time that = deep friendships. I completely agree with your thoughts. And so glad to hear you have that unconditional support and love from friends now. Such a gift x

I love this honest appraisal! Friendship, like life, is mostly not perfect, but bonds and shared experiences count for so much. And you brought Denise with you x
